KTM is preparing to face some intense weeks of presentations where the new ones will be included. 1390 Super Adventure S and S Evo. Both will be shown to the public on next October 22 and 24a little before the start of EICMA 2024. Among the main new features that will come to the Super Adventure range is the new AMT (Automatic Manual Transmission) shift system and a radar system with up to 6 new safety functions.
Of course, the new 1390 Super Adventure, in any of its variants, comes equipped with the well-known 75º V2 engine that now has a capacity of 1,350 cc thanks to the increase in diameter to 110 mm. It is estimated that in this new generation 1390 Super Adventure performs in the order of 175 HPalthough this figure is not yet confirmed. Nor the maximum torque, which should increase to more or less the 145 Nm declared by the 1390 Super Duke R 2024.
1390 Super Adventure 2025 range in detail
The colleagues at Motorrad Online have echoed the latest images of what will be the 1390 Super Adventure 2025. They have also speculated on some key aspects around the new generation of the Austrian maxitrail. For example, the torque figure rises to 149 Nm, putting it at the level of the undisputed queen of the segment, the BMW R 1300 GS.
At the chassis level, as is already the case with the current 1290, a version with standard suspensions is expected and in the case of the 1390 Super Adventure S Evo it comes equipped with a set of Semi-active suspensions WP. In both cases we would have a 48 mm inverted fork and a monoshock at the rear that is fully adjustable even in preload. All this accompanied by braking signed by Brembo with floating discs and four-piston calipers on the front.
On the other hand, this “Full Equipe” version could come standard with the new Bosch radar system that includes up to 6 driving assistance functions. According to the German brand, 5 of these functions are totally new and could help avoid one in six accidents on German roads alone. Initially, 4 of these functions would be included, where the AMT shifting system is likely to interact with them.
The latter could be presented as one of the model’s options and unlike Honda’s DCT, an electric actuator is used to be able to change between gears, as well as a centrifugal clutch that allows us to stop completely without the motorcycle stalling. Likewise, we can start the process again without having to act on any external element related to the system.
Finally, in terms of equipment, the new generation 1390 Super Adventure 2025 will have anew 8.8” TFT screen which the brand has announced that it will also officially present October 10, 2024. We do not know if the latter will be available in all versions or exclusively for the Super Adventure S Evo. From it you can access the control and adjustment of all the new systems that KTM will incorporate into its high-performance ADV range, as well as different infotainment options compatible with our mobile phone and the KTM APP itself.
