At this point in the history of two brands as mythical as Langen and CCM Motorcycles, it is not necessary to say that if they have come to where they are precisely because of that love that profess the world of two wheels, and the special devotion they feel for those who share this same hobby and passion for the motorcycle.
The empirical evidence confirming this theory is the statement published by the founder of Langen, Christofer Ratcliffe, in some of his social networks.
Langen Motorcycles comes to the help of the owners of a CCM
For those who are not aware, CCM Motorcycles declared in a bankruptcy competition just a few weeks ago. The reason is none other than the impossibility of continuing its activity due to lack of liquidity. An increasingly widespread fact, mainly between what we call niche marks, fruit, among other things, of the overwhelming globalization and the lack of appreciation, for an vast majority of fans, of the differential product.
On the latter we publish a detailed article where we address the difficult situation that these types of brands are going through, especially those based in Europe. Signatures as legendary as Bimota, Buell, Husaberg, Horex or the aforementioned CCM Motorcycles, are part of the victims who are left on the way to the economic situation of the market in which we are established.
Regarding CCM a brand spokesman recently commented: “This is a difficult time for all involved: our dedicated team, our passenger loyal and the widest community of CCM that has supported us over the years. We are proud of the motorcycles we have built and the legacy that we have shared with so many. We would like to sincerely thank all those who have been part of this trip.”
However, everything cannot paint as black as it seems and it is to know the initiative of Langen Motorcycles, which helps us to continue believing that CCM Motorcycles could have a second chance, and end up leaving afloat of this delicate situation that he has had to live. Christofer Ratcliffe explained that: “Langen MotorcyCles team regrets the current situation of CCM Motorcycles.”
“We are installing a space at the Langen headquarters, dedicated to performing any urgent service or repair to maintain its Spitfire or GP450 on the road and in safe conditions. Many will meet Paul Atkinson, an integral part of CCM for decades, and probably have participated in the development and manufacture of their CCM. Paul has agreed to reside at the Langen headquarters (Wigan) and will focus exclusively on helping them exclusively Spitfire and GP450 owners. ”
And it continues: “The rest of the Langen team will be in charge of the administration and the search for pieces. For those who are not from Langen,” the Spitfire surgeon “(Ryan and Emma) offers a great prestigious mobile service for CCM owners. We will work closely with them to support each other with the supply of service parts and the possible engineering/refabrication of key components.”
From Langen Motorcycles they have enabled an email and a telephone number so that, all those owners of a CCM, can contact them if you need to consult something about their motorcycles:
Ratcliffe concludes arguing: “We beg you to have patience at the beginning while we establish the process with Paul and Langen’s team. We will analyze each motorcycle individually and help them as much as possible. Personally, I am sure that CCM will recover and start a new and exciting stage … It has a good success history!”
