Less than 1,300 euros, that is what this former Tesla executive wants to cost this electric motorcycle

One of the great challenges that are today for electrification is the cost of motorcycles. But what if an electric motorcycle costs less than 1,300 euros? That is what a former Tesla executive with his new company, Zeno.

To put ourselves in context, already before entering into detail of how they plan to get that electric motorcycle for less than 1,300 euros, we will put in perspective who this former executive is. His name is Michael Spencer and was behind the expansion of the Tesla Model 3 and Model programs and, in addition to working on the supercarganadores network.

Therefore, we are not talking about a person without experience, but we are facing someone with a reasonably important background in the automotive sector. That is why now with the startup Zeno, which is based in Bangalore (India), this project has a greater consistency.

One of the strengths will be customization

EMARA, the motorcycle that will cost less than 1,300 euros

The interesting thing is that although we are talking about an Indian project, we already know that the Asian country is one of the emerging powers in the world of two wheels and outstanding in the case of electricity, so you have to take the project seriously.

The fact is that the motorcycle has a name, Emara, has a declared yield of 8 kW (10.7 hp) with what would be equivalent to a 125 and with its 4 kW battery would offer a real autonomy of 100 km and would have a tip of 95 kilometers per hour.

As for the price, following Tesla’s policy a little there are different options. Buying the motorcycle with the battery will cost 119,000 rupees, just under 1,300 euros. But you can also buy without battery and opt for prepaid plans for batteries that would make the motorcycle coasta 79,000 rupees (810 euros), and then choose between a daily autonomy of 48 km, another of 120 kilometers a day and another in which it was paid per kilometer traveled.

In case all this was not attractive enough, the EMARA will be a large motorcycle, with an off -road and practical touch in which simplicity prevails above all. This means that, perhaps, the secret to getting a cheaper motorcycle is to simplify and think that it is as functional as possible above luxuries. In that sense it would be just the opposite of Tesla.

As for the future, for now it seems that it only has a place in India although, who knows, if like other companies in the country ends up taking a step to Europe in the future.
