Yamaha Motor Co. (YMC) and Yamaha Motor Racing (YMR) are pleased to announce that Paolo Pavesio will succeed Lin Jarvis as Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing effective January 1, 2025. Paolo Pavesio, who previously served as Director of Marketing and Motorsport at Yamaha Motor Europe (YME), has been at the forefront of the restructuring of YME’s operations in those areas during his 11 years with the company.
Under his leadership, the revamped Motorsport Division achieved world titles in WorldSBK, EWC and MXGP. Meanwhile, Lin Jarvis was appointed Managing Director of Yamaha Motor Racing in 1999 and has been instrumental in securing 8 rider, 6 constructor and 7 team titles in the MotoGP World Championship for Yamaha. Although he will step down from his role on December 31, 2024, Jarvis will continue to support YMR in the capacity of Senior Advisor.
