Magma, Genesis' performance bet looks very good

And raise your hand if you think otherwise, or leave it in the comments box because these two concept cars look very good. But far from the first opinions of these cars that enter through the eyes, we have to talk about how GenesisHyundai's luxury brand, has taken a bold step into the sporting world of the industry with the launch of its new high-performance sub-brand, Magma.

These concept cars in development will be presented shortly at the prestigious New York Auto Show in 2024. This is the GV60 Magma Concept and the new color version of the GV80 Magma Concept.

GV60

The GV60 Magma Concept is the new testament to Genesis' commitment to excellence in design and high-performance engineering. With a striking (and interesting) orange hue, this electric crossover It not only promises style at the level of the greats, but also very worthy performance for the segment. It is estimated that with its new improved battery and modified electric motors, the GV60 Magma Concept has performance, as we say, on par with the greatest. More details have not yet been given, but we will certainly follow them closely.

The design of the GV60 Magma Concept reflects its focus on aerodynamic efficiency and optimized performance. With a lower and wider appearance, it presents a muscular front with a wider air intake designed to cool the batteries, brakes and electric motors.

21-inch wheels with integrated aerodynamic discs and additional aerodynamic features such as air curtains and roof fins underline Genesis' commitment to improving the performance and efficiency.

Inside, luxury meets performance with distinctive details, such as leather with orange contrast stitching and body-color seatbacks, creating a sophisticated yet sporty ambiance. Luc Donckerwolke, creative director of Genesis, expressed his excitement about the launch of Magma, highlighting his goal to push the boundaries of performance and luxury to offer unique experiences to customers. Although the exact timelines for the availability of the GV60 Magma Concept have not been confirmed, it is expected to arrive on the market “very soon”, according to Donckerwolke.

In addition to the GV60 Magma Concept, Genesis also showcased the G80 Magma Special, available in a limited run for Middle Eastern customers, along with other previously seen concept models.
