Marc Márquez signs the perfect weekend

Overwhelming, this has been the role of Marc Márquez in the GP of Aragon 2025. It is true that as the season was going and the history of Marc on the Turolense track, his performance was expected to be outstanding. But it has gone one step further, being the fastest of each and every one of the disputed sessions.

It was only not the fastest on Saturday Q1, in which it did not participate because, logically, it was classified for Q2 directly. But we all know that if they had let him out, it would also have been the fastest. As a curiosity, the one that a pilot dominated all the sessions of a GP did not pass from the 2015 German GP, when Marc himself got it.

But the one that Marc has been the owner and lord of all the sessions and therefore of the GP of Aragon 2025 does not mean that he has not had to fight against himself and the rest or that, precisely, the rest have made it easy. Especially his brother Álex, who is being his great rival, squeezed everything he could, but had to simply settle for pressing him.

If there was an option it was in the Sprint race

Although Marc left the Pole skate the rear wheel, something that also happened to him in several departure trials during the weekend, and that made him fall to the fourth place with touch included with Pedro Acosta in the middle of line. Álex took that situation to put in front, a place where he endured while Marc was climbing positions.

It really took little over one lap, because when closing the second round, Marc was in the second place ahead of Álex. Even so, it was not until half of the race, in Tour Six, when Marc advanced his brother to put himself in front.

No one could approach the Márquez and even Álex lost distance with an intractable Marc that achieved the seventh victory in short race over eight possible. Alex, on the other hand, reached another second position, also the seventh of the season and Fermín Aldeguer, as he did in France completed the podium.

The 2025 Aragon GP race had no surprises

Unlike Saturday, Marc was shot in what is technically the Aragon GP, the long race, the “important” and there gave no choice. He imposed his rhythm from the first moment and no one, not even Álex, could stand up.

Marc lived a fight against himself, yes, because even after the race he recognized that he lived some complicated moment when he refers to, defining him as “entering the loop.” And if no one planted with Marc, nor did anyone from the rest could do it with Álex, who without making mistakes and as impeccable as his brother achieved the second place.

The great positive surprise was that of Pecco Bagnaia that, although he classified well, in the Sprint Race suffered the same problems he dragged for some weekends. After changes in the tuning, that in Ducati and the pilot himself qualify as minimal and that, in theory, they have only influenced the type and brake disc size used, recovered sensations again. Bagnaia could not fight face to face with the Márquez, but was much closer to them and although it is already 93 points from Marc, he has been able to keep the third place of the general in this bump.

Also leaving the bump, at least in the GP of Aragon, we have seen Pedro Acosta that in addition to being competitive all weekend with the KTM (as were Viañales and Binder, although with less fortune) he ended up in the fourth position in what is his best result in the season. Even so, the Murcia claimed Postcarrera in the microphones of Dazn the two tenths that, in his opinion, lack the Austrian motorcycle.

Morbidelli is still regular and also, along with Aldeguer they starred in a beautiful battle for the fifth place that ended up in the hands of Italian. Joan Mir also achieved his best result of the year at the end of seventh with a sling that continues to give steps and even on tracks like Motorland begins to look at his head.

Who sure is not satisfied with its weekend is Marco Bezzecchi. An error in the Q1 made him leave from the 20th place in the two races to sign two impressive comebacks that took him to the eighth place in both. With rhythm and advancing, in more favorable conditions I would have been able to fight for the top5 again.

Fabio Di Giannantonio could not show the rhythm of other days to end ninth ahead of a Raúl Fernández who placed tenth and chained four GP within the points and also three of them inside the top10 or the doors.

Now it’s time to look at the Italian GP, for which he will have to wait two weeks. Of course, before, today, the Tests in Motorland Aragón in which some will continue to seek solutions to cut distance with the head pilots and others, the head pilots, will look for that extra so that it does not happen.
