The week of great news in the motorcycle sector is owned by EICMA. That is why manufacturers like LiveWire will come with all their arsenal to show it to the European public in what is probably the most important show in the sector today, even ahead of Tokyo.
There are many new features that the American manufacturer is going to present, but there is no doubt that one of the ones that raises the most expectations for several reasons is its Maxi-Scooter S2. It is, as its name indicates, a maxi scooter that, like the entire range, is electric, and is born from the strategic alliance with KYMCO.
Based on the S2 platform, it is a risky bet on an aesthetic level, but technically it represents the evolution of the project they already presented last year, only now it is physical. Of course, it is not the final model but a concept, so it will be a new appetizer of what is to come.
Electric and practical yes, but LiveWire also bets on strong emotions
Another of the concepts that LiveWire has prepared for EICMA is the S2 Alpinista Corsa. A motorcycle that will serve as a platform to showcase the DC Fast Charging technology, capable of recharging a 10 kWh battery from 20% to 80% in less than 10 minutes but that has a “packaging” that will attract attention.
And it is equipped with BST Twin Tek wheels, front and rear Öhlins suspension, semi-handlebars, machined seat posts, rear footpegs and carbon fiber components (front fender, belt protectors and radiator air intakes) which implies a sporty appearance that will make many look at electric motorcycles with different eyes.
The rational part of the Aplinista comes with the Patrol version, designed to offer electrical solutions to security forces. Following the success achieved in the United States, LiveWire seeks to offer solutions also in Europe, highlighting the advantages that its motorcycles offer: no clutch or gear change, minimal heat emission, low weight and excellent maneuverability.
There will also be room for the more “modest” S4 Honcho, electric that could be compared to the 125 models and that are part of the brand’s strategy. Unlike the rest of the motorcycles, they are designed to be suitable for the A1/B and they are agile motorcycles, oriented towards the urban environment and with removable batteries.
They will be available in Trail and Street versions, so that depending on the needs it is the user who decides. Likewise, these models will arrive soon, as LiveWire plans to start production in spring 2026.
