The Skoda Epiq Concept previews (quite faithfully) a small 100% electric SUV that will be presented in 2025 and is announced for a price of around 25,000 euros. It is an important vehicle for Spain since it will be manufactured in Landaben (Navarra) in the plant that now manufactures the T-Cross or the Polo.
It is the second of the six new electric models that the Czech brand wants to present next year and that expand the portfolio that includes the Skoda Enyaq. Measuring 4.1 meters in length, it announces a generously spacious interior and up to 490 liters of trunk capacity.
The vehicle will incorporate the new design language Modern Solid, very robust, both inside and out and offers a range of more than 400 km in its most capable versions. Its name derives from the Greek word, which means word or verse, but also story or poem. Like the rest of the brand’s electric models, the E at the beginning refers to its propulsion system and the Q at the end identifies it as a member of the brand’s SUV family.
The new typography in the brand name appears on the hood, with a blind black grill that they call Tech-Deck Face behind which elements are hidden for driving assistants such as a camera or radar. It is flanked by T-shaped LED optics, with the main headlights in a lower position. From the side you can see the large wheel arches and some orange detail on the roof and wheels, which are repeated on the front and rear bumpers.
The interior, like a good Skoda, seeks to be practical, with elements such as the open storage compartment with wireless charging base in the floating center console. In the trunk, the brand assures, there are elements Simply Clever distinctive features of the brand, such as bag hooks, cargo elements, tie-down hooks and a hidden compartment under the floor.
