The CB1000 Hornet’s touring sister that could arrive in 2025

The Honda CBF1000F It became the “all-rounder” bike for everyone during the years in which the Japanese brand kept it in its range of models. Specifically, until the 2016 season, when it decided to remove it from its range. In short, a bike for the most demanding hands looking for comfort, low fuel consumption and high performance when tackling their routes.

Now, thanks to the colleagues at Motorrad Online and the talent of Kar Lee Designthere is talk of the return of the well-known initials after the recent virtual render with which the well-known designer offers us his vision of a renewed Honda CBF1000F developed on the basis of the new generation CB1000 Hornet.

Honda CBF1000F 2025?: Versatility at the highest level

Let’s remember that last November Honda gave us the first details of its new CB1000 Hornet, equipped with the impressive engine of the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade and designed to offer an exceptional balance between the power of a 4-cylinder engine and outstanding maneuverability. It is expected to arrive at the Japanese brand’s dealerships in the early stages of next year.

After its presentation, we began to believe in the possibility of launching some variants developed on its basis, such as a possible Honda CB1000 Hornet S, intended for all those looking for a balanced sport-tourer with high performance in terms of features.

However, Kar Lee Design offers us another possible alternative in the form of CBF1000F using the same recipe as the aforementioned S version but offering an extra level of rationality to the model. To achieve this, it would have a two-height seat with softer lines, handholds for the passenger and a driving position even more oriented towards its touring aspect.

The shapes that surround its image are also softened with respect to the CB1000 Hornet S that our colleagues at Webike proposed to us. From here we find the rest of the elements that will make up the CB1000 Hornet 2025, both in mechanical and dynamic terms. This translates into equipping a four-cylinder in-line engine, 999 cc, DOHC and 16 V: more than 150 HP of maximum power and more than 100 Nm of torque.

In the cycle part, the double steel beam frame that would debut in the CB1000 Hornet would stand out, supported on a Showa SFF-BP USD fork 41 mm with adjustable compression and rebound damping and a Showa rear shock absorber acting on a Pro-Link joint. Braking would be handled by four-piston radial-mount front brake calipers and 310 mm floating discs.

From Motorrad they estimate that A CBF1000F should have a final price of around 12,000 euros approximately. and have a list of optional features, including the well-known DCT automatic transmission system. All in order to improve its road qualities, although all this would still be to be confirmed by the brand itself in the coming months, probably taking advantage of EICMA 2024 to offer us some preview of its intentions.
