The month of August was the month in which we all expected the new arrival. CFMoto 675SS And although it has been so on the surface, the month has not yet ended and we already have here the new three-cylinder sports car from the Chinese manufacturer that seems to be coming on strong thanks to its technical features and a spectacular price.
The new CFMoto 675SS, which was originally going to be called the 675SR-R, is now on the American market for $7,999, which at the current exchange rate is 7,162 euros. A very tight price for a sports bike with very interesting performance.
The CFMoto 675SS weighs 185 kg dry and has 95 hp
We are talking about the new CFMoto 675SS not just a pretty face with a sharp and striking design, since its heart is a 674.2 cubic centimeter three-cylinder engine, it is capable of delivering a power of 95 HP at 11,000 rpm and with a torque of 69.96 Nm at 8250 rpm.
We know that this powerful three-cylinder engine, which will also be used in the new naked bike from the company (the CFMoto 675 NK), has a piston diameter of 72 mm and a stroke of 55.2 millimetres. With this data we can conclude that this new engine is in fact an evolution of the one already successfully used in the 450SS, albeit with an extra cylinder.
As for the transmission, the new CFMoto 675SS It has a wet clutch and is fitted with a six-speed gearbox. It also offers semi-automatic upshifting as standard, although downshifting requires the clutch to be engaged. Although it may seem like a minor detail to many, the gear lever and the transfer rod can be configured so that the gear can be reversed (first gear up and the rest down).
Once we have seen the mechanical part we can look at the cycle part where we find a chrome molybdenum steel chassis and an aluminum swingarm in a single piece that seeks to find the balance between lightness and rigidity. The suspensions are signed by KYB while the brakes do J. Juan. The 17-inch tires front and rear are CST.
For a motorcycle like this we cannot overlook the weight, which when empty is 185 kg and will approach and probably exceed 200kg with all fluids and fuel. In terms of equipment we find adjustable traction control, dual-channel ABS, LED lights and a 5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity. Not bad for a bike that weighs just over 200kg. 7,000 euros… Now all that’s left is for it to arrive in Spain.
