Next Sunday, October 27, the Spanish Motorcycle Museum in Alcalá de Henares will celebrate its first event exclusively dedicated to lovers of classic Spanish-made motorcycles: the 1st Spanish Motorcycle Day.
The day will begin with breakfast, followed by a motorcycle route, a break in Villar del Olmo to replenish energy, another section of the route and, to close this party in style, a visit to the museum.
This unique day will bring together classic motorcycles made in Spain, which will meet from 10 in the morning for a joint breakfast. At 11 a.m., participants will organize themselves into groups of 25 motorcycles, with staggered departures every 15 minutes, to undertake a route of approximately 50 km.
This will be the route of the 1st Day of the Spanish Motorcycle
The route will include a strategic stop in Villar del Olmo, where attendees can enjoy a snack and recharge their batteries before continuing the journey back to the museum in Alcalá de Henares. Once there, participants will have access to a guided tour, including the new temporary exhibition «50 years of Repsol success on two wheels«. Exhibition that we already told you about.
To participate in the route, motorcycles must have been manufactured in Spain, be at least 25 years old, and have a minimum recommended displacement of 125 cc. Of course, all motorcycles must be up to date with insurance and MOT. Furthermore, and in order to guarantee a safe and quiet route, the event will have an assistance van, which will serve as «broom» so that no participant is left behind in case of any mechanical problem.
For those fans who prefer not to join the route, but want to be part of this two-wheeled festival, there is the option of displaying their motorcycles on the terrace adjacent to the museum. These participants will be able to enjoy breakfast and visit both the museum and the temporary exhibition without having to take the route. To access the Terrace Expo, all machines must be at least 25 years old, and mopeds are also allowed.
The museum has also provided a large free parking area, with enough space for cars with trailers and vans, thus facilitating the arrival of all attendees. Without a doubt, it will be a memorable day for classic Spanish motorcycle enthusiasts, in which they will be able to share their passion and enjoy a day full of activities and good vibes.
Regarding the price, the organization establishes it in 30 euros for participants on the route and 15 euros for non-route assistants and motorcycle companions.
