They say that when one is in their best performance moment, the holidays do not come good to anyone. But seen what was seen in the GP of Austria 2025, that expression does not fit with Marc Márquez. And Marc was a leading leader to Red Bull Ring and leaves even more leader, and with an advantage in the general over all the pilots who entail that, in a couple of GP, he could leave out of the mathematical struggle for the title to the fourth classified …
And it is that Marc Márquez’s domain with Ducati is being so overwhelming that, after the 2025 Austria GP, he already adds more points than in the entire 2024 season and only 90 less than the 2024 champion, Jorge Martín, although 333 points are still at stake. Overwhelming figures that say that Marc has pointed 9 doubles of 13 possible, 12 sprint races and 9 GP victories.
Heaven and hell in the same box
After Marco Bezzecchi did the pole, that Álex Márquez was second and that Pecco Bagnaia ended third, added to Márquez’s error in the 2b curve that took him to the ground, it seemed that the three pilots would have the opportunity to stand up to Marc … until the traffic light went out.
At that time the Ducati de Bagnaia skated while throwing the Italian pilot and, on the other side of the first line, Bezzecchi also did not take advantage of the advantage, so Alex and Marc Márquez got first and second as we have seen as many times this year. And as we have also seen on other occasions, Marc was increasing the pressure until an Álex error left him in front to achieve victory ahead of a consistent Álex.

Meanwhile, the third step of the podium was awarded by Pedro Acosta, who like his teammates in KTM (except for injured vineyards and could not compete) paid to a great level in Austria. Bezzecchi managed to redeem himself in part with the fourth place, with Binder Quinto, Aldeguer with the same problem at the exit as Bagnaia sixth, Bastianini Seventh, Di Giannantonio Eighth and Johann Zarco completing the positions that gave points.
But part of the attention remained in the Ducati box, but on the side of Pecco with obvious stability problems that, for the moment, no one has known how to clarify and that they do nothing but delve the crisis that the Italian lives, which no longer hesitates to point directly to the team that made him twice world champion.
Marc controls and wins Austria’s GP, but Aldeguer falls in love
With the lesson learned from Saturday, Bezzecchi did not miss the opportunity that means going out with the pole and put himself in charge of the race. Bagnaia tried to follow the rhythm, but Marc quickly placed second and both began to open a hole in front of the rest of the rivals, while Álex Márquez fulfilled the penalty for throwing Joan Mir in the Czech Republic.
Bezzecchi showed a great strength and for a moment, on a track that is not the most conducive to the RS-GP April, he seemed to have the victory by hand. Until in the lap 20 Marc put in front, increased the rhythm and began to set his ninth victory of the year.

Of course, before that Marco did everything in his hands giving us a small duel between them. And while all that happened, from behind came a Ducati missile of Team Gresini, Fermín Aldeguer. The Murcian, who started sixth, went down to the eighth position at the beginning of the race, but then brought out the rhythm he had to place second and even get to Marc.
Finally, Aldeguer added a great second position, with Bezzecchi third and Pedro Acosta fourth ahead of Enea Bastianini. On this occasion we must highlight the great role of Joan Mir with La Honda, who continues to take small steps and has worked relatively well in Austria, as evidenced by the sixth place after fighting with Binder, which was eighth.

Bagnaia, who as usual in the last races lost pace and confidence as the laps passed, ended up eighth ahead of a Raúl Fernández who has been very competitive all weekend, despite the fact that the ninth place does not reflect the good work done; and from Álex Márquez who could not overcome as expected after penalty.
After the return of the holidays the most intense part of the season begins. Both for the good and for the bad they will begin to chain weekends of two consecutive GP. The first one, counting the Austrian GP, will take us to the Hungary GP next weekend and Balaton Park. Can they contain Marc’s progress in Hungarian lands?
