KYMCO Spain has announced the launch of the three-wheeled scooter CV3 (550 cc) for next summer in all KYMCO points of sale distributed throughout Spain. This was stated by Carlos Wang, General Director of KYMCO Spain, during the KYMCO Dealer Meeting that was held this past Thursday afternoon in Madrid.
Wang explained that the launch of the KYMCO CV3 will have an exclusive version for the Spanish market that includes, among other new features, a specific color chart for our country. After passing through the recent Milan International Motorcycle Fair, EICMA 2024, KYMCO’s three-wheeled scooter became one of the main attractions at the brand’s stand.
Tricycles (category L5e) are an alternative for car license users who want to travel on high-performance scooters. In this aspect, the KYMCO CV3 uses a 550 cc water-cooled inline twin-cylinder engine, with 4 forged valves in the cylinder head and double overhead camshafts. This is fed by an electronic injection system, while lubrication is established by a dry sump.
Likewise, it stands out for being the only scooter that has a transmission separate from the engine and having a system Crossplan Crank (inline twin cylinder stalled at 270º), managing to emit a sound similar to that produced by a V engine. With a power of around 50 HP and a maximum torque of more than 50 Nm, the KYMCO CV3 is synonymous with efficiency and performance solvents in any circumstance.
It also incorporates powerful safety and comfort elements. It will share the engine architecture and PTM belt transmission with the brand’s flagship, the AK550, as well as a robust aluminum chassis unique in its category.
