Without a doubt, the arrival of the new Honda CB1000 Hornet 2024 is one of the most anticipated moments for the brand's followers who are truly delighted with the decision of the Japanese firm to recover such a charismatic acronym within its fold.
Today we know some essential details of its design, after passing through the Nagoya Motorcycle Show in Japan, where it was presented dressed in a neat white color. It may interest you:
Honda CB1000 Hornet 2024: Everything we can expect
It was last year, 2023, around this time, when we told you for the first time about the possibility that Ahonda would have among its ranks a CB1000 Hornet. After the presentation of the 2023 Honda CB750 Hornet, everyone began to speculate about the arrival of a larger displacement variant, something that was finally confirmed in the final stages of last season.
Now, thanks to our colleagues at Autoby we have new images of the model after the brand unveiled it physically at the last Nagoya Motorcycle Show. Therefore, a good part of the technical details that the brand initially provided are confirmed, among which the following stand out:
- Engine inherited from the 2017 CBR1000RR Fireblade
- Brand new steel double beam frame
- Front suspension is Showa SFF-BP
- Double arm aluminum swingarm
- 5 inch TFT color screen
- Nissin braking system
- Rear tire 180/55-17
- Double LED headlight with 4 embedded optics
Its body combines a voluminous fuel tank with a sharp rear tail anchored to a tubular subframe. In this way, its stylized image combines sportiness and ergonomics, thanks to an upright driving position where everything remains in its place.
Also notable is the black finish of many of its components, as well as a generously sized side exhaust system. It won't be before next EICMA 2024 when Honda launches its new CB1000 Hornetas pointed out by the Japanese media.
We also do not yet know the final price at which the Japanese maxinaked will move, although we sense that it will be quite tight compared to the competition, as is the case with its younger sister of “seven and a half”.
