Approximately two and a half years ago, on the occasion of the Perpignan Custom Show 2023, this Lambretta Dropkick Murphys It became one of the main attractions of the event thanks to a decoration inspired precisely by the well-known musical band with a marked Celtic Punk style. Then the owner of this work of art on wheels gave an interview to Scooterismo, an Italian website specialized in Vespa and Lambretta models and preparations.
Lambretta Dropkick Murphys: musical passion on two wheels
There is no doubt that Ronan Danica well-known French tattoo artist and owner of this gem, feels true passion for the legendary American band that this year celebrates its 30th Anniversary. From his studio located in Auray, France, Danic admits to being a regular at Punk Rock, OI!, Hardcore, Soul and Britpop concerts and parties.
According to Detalla in the interview, he began to forge the idea of this Lambretta Dropkick Murphys in the fateful days that preceded the first wave of COVID-19 in 2020. Then he consulted several friends who were motor fans about how he could give the final shape to the project that had been in his head so many times.
Finally he made the decision to get to work and, after eight months of work and passing through the hands of several specialists in different subjects, what was initially a dream became a reality. He himself relates: “Thank you to Carte Blanche for making the custom badges, Atelier Offsprint for the engraving, and No Pain No Gain for the preparation and incredible metallic paint job.”
As for the most relevant details that shape this incredible preparation, Ronan lists the following:
- Handlebar speakers
- Handlebar covers
- Platform strips chiseled with clovers
- Custom brake pedal
- Support for the small 2-stroke oil can
- Silencer with own design, etc.
He also ensures that both the fender, taillight frame and wheel well are custom made and chiseled, taking inspiration from Dropkick Murphys song lyrics, albums and song titles. It also explains how “The interior of the shield has several covers and it is very easy to get lost among all these details.” For its part, the mechanical section is dominated by a BGM 195RT engine, which Danic describes as “reliable and with adequate performance!”
Finally, we must note that this Lambretta Dropkick Murphys, far from being displayed or preserved in any specific place, is its owner’s means of transportation since the project was completed. He ends up confirming it when he concludes the interview by stating:
“I have traveled with my Lambretta Dropkick Murphys to countless places to attend rallies in France, the United Kingdom, Belgium and Spain! And if that were not enough, I also use it daily to go to the studio! To enjoy it to the fullest, not to hide it!” Something we couldn’t agree more with him giving him our most sincere congratulations for the final result achieved in his striking Lambretta Dropkick Murphys.
