BMW Motorrad has launched a clear and concise message to its followers on the brand’s official social networks about the arrival of the future F 450 GS: “Dreams will come true soon: prepare for #Conceptf450Gs at the end of the year.”
We already know what this means, although there are still some details to break down on this future launch and everything that will encompass the model: technical details, place of manufacture, technological solutions, etc.
We will have BMW F 450 GS before the end of the year
Now, thanks to Rush Lane’s colleagues, we already know a good part of the main aspects of the development, manufacture and official launch of the next BMW F 450 GS. A motorcycle that many of the followers of the Bavara firm expect as May water. Especially all those that currently possess the A2 card.
Destined to cover the commercial hole between the 310 and 900 ranges of the brand, F 450 GS stands as a compact design mount, optimal power and the offroad essence. To do this, BMW embodies the iconic GS DNA along with red and white details, reflecting the dynamic and high performance essence that characterizes the brand within the Offroad segment.
We also know that the future BMW F 450 GS will be manufactured by TVS at the same plant where it already does the same with another brand model, the G 310 GS. In addition, from the local medium they point out that the new ADV mount of the German firm will have a departure price in the Indian market of about 500,000 rupees, 5,520 euros to change. That is equivalent to more than 50% increase with respect to the official price of its younger sister, G 310 GS, which is currently marketed for about 330,000 rupees.
In this way, F 450 gs would be halfway, in terms of rate, compared to some of its direct rivals that are already marketed and India. For example, the Honda NX500, which currently costs 590 thousand rupees, or the KTM 390 Adventure that can be purchased for 368,000 rupees. The cheapest of all these adventure mounts on a half displacement in the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, for which 285,000 rupees must be disbursed.
In the technical section, BMW Motorrad bets on a new invoice bicylindrical engine and 48 hp of power that offers an optimal pair even at low revolutions, ideal for driving on and off the road. This will combine with a cycle part where a light chassis stands out, with a weight of 175 kg In line with class A2, maximizing maneuverability and control.
At the level of details, the F 450 GS is expected to have a front inverted fork, upper side output exhaust, crankcase and hand protectors or a front characterized by the “Pato Pato” style fender next to a windshield of good dimensions and totally adjustable. All this combined with last generation electronic elements, where the double channel ABS system, with the possibility of disconnecting it to its posterior wheel, should be included among the standard endowment.
