The experience accumulated in the Dakar once again becomes an exclusive production motorcycle. Honda Racing Corporation and RedMoto have just presented the new Honda CRF 450RX Rally 2027a machine developed practically as an official rally raid motorcycle and whose production will be limited to only 50 units for the entire world. Without a doubt, a candy for the luckiest.
This new special edition is born after the model’s solid race debut in last year’s Dakar, where 14 motorcycles started and 12 managed to complete, possibly, the toughest test on the planet. A percentage of reliability that, in such an extreme race, is worth as much as any victory. Furthermore, the CRF 450RX Rally achieved an outstanding result, with second and third place in Rally2 and 3 motorcycles placed among the top 5 positions in the general classification.
So, on this basis, HRC and RedMoto have decided to repeat the formula: artisanal production, top-level components and an orientation clearly focused on private drivers seeking to compete in rally raids at the highest level.
This is the Honda CRF 450RX Rally 2027
The heart of the bike is a 450 cc single-cylinder engine specifically developed by HRC for long stages of resistance. The power is around 58 hp and is associated with a 6-speed gearbox with rally-specific ratios. The focus here is not on achieving spectacular peak power figures, but on ensuring reliability and consistent performance over endless days of racing.
The top speed is around 160 km/h and the set incorporates specific solutions to withstand extreme conditions, such as an additional radiator for oil cooling.
The cycle part makes it clear from the first glance that we are not facing a simple enduro adaptation. Double-spar aluminum frame works together with a fork Showa 49 mm with titanium anti-friction treatment and an equally coated rear shock absorber. The objective is clear, to improve the sensitivity of the suspensions and maintain stable behavior on any surface.
Braking is provided by a 300 mm front disc designed to offer feel and control on low-adhesion terrain, while the wheels use very high-level components, with hubs HAAN CNC machined and rims Takasago Excel prepared to withstand extreme impacts.
As it cannot be otherwise in this type of frames, one of the most impressive aspects of this CRF 450RX Rally It is your autonomy. The motorcycle is equipped with 3 fuel tanks, two in the front and one in the rear, which add up to a total capacity of 36 liters.
The entire sailing area also reflects its racing DNA. The tower is made of carbon fiber and structurally separated from the main chassis, allowing quick disassembly in case of repair during the race. The lower protection, also made of carbon, adopts a “sled” shape designed to slide over obstacles and minimize impacts.
The equipment is completed with an exhaust Akrapovič made of titanium identical to that used by the official rally motorcycle, in addition to handlebars Renthalprotectors Acerbisoversized footpegs, LED lighting and steering damper. As expected for such an exclusive motorcycle, the price is reserved for true enthusiasts.
