Asian brands, especially Chinese, show us once again, with this newly presented Rock 707their way of developing new technologies with which to equip their models: they observe, learn and act accordingly. The same is what Benda has done before setting up an electronic clutch system in which its new flagship will be expected, within the range of Cruiser models that it currently markets.
Benda Rock 707: Electronic clutch and serial cruise control
No one is already surprised when he is aware that this or that Chinese brand have launched this or that model equipped with a last niche technology that, a priori, seems to be reserved for Japanese or European motorcycles. The story has changed and much in recent years, and good proof of this is this Benda Rock 707 newly presented at the Beijing Motor Show, last month.
As we have known, thanks to the companions of Cycle World, this novel and striking sports-style cruiser integrates a new change system assisted by electronic clutch, similar to the Honda e-clutch revolutionary. In any case, we can say that e-clutch allows fast and precise marches changes, while getting soft outputs and stops. Taking into account, the first thing, that it is not an automatic change (DCT), but an electric clutch, this system allows both speed to be raised without having to use the clutch handle.
The new Benda Rock 707 also equips a system similar to that of the signing of the golden wing. As we can see in the image related to the clutch cover, in it we find a mechanism where the conventional drive cam would generally be.
Two electric motors, as is the case in the Honda system, coordinate with the lighting and fuel injection to achieve a precise and soft gear change. Similarly, Rock 707 also retains the clutch handle, as occurs in Honda models that equip E-Clutch, new CB650R and CBR650R.
But this is not all, since, Benda’s new model enjoys first -level premium equipment, as we have already seen in other brand recent models. For example, a pneumatic suspension system in the rear that works together with a pair of lateral shock absorbers.
In the words of the brand itself, referring to the functioning of its novel technical resource, “It’s a scoop in the industry for a double shock absorber machine.” Regarding its operation, the Chinese firm explains that “Multiple adaptive air bags intelligently adjust the state of the vehicle so that each trip is safer and more comfortable.”
Finally, it is confirmed that the new Rock 707 has, in addition to a 6 -axle IMU, cruise control and motor and clutch modes. It is not clear when the marketing of the model in China will begin. Nor can we finally enjoy such an advanced motorcycle in technological matters in our continent. Only Benda has the answer and for the moment we only have to wait for him to pronounce on the subject.
