This is the new TVS Orbiter, the electric scooter that arrives to revolutionize its segment

TVS Motor has given One more step in your electric road map With the launch of the new Orbiter a scooter that adds to its catalog after the success harvested by the Iqube family. The Indian manufacturer does not hide his ambition: attracting that new urban user profile that not only needs to move efficiently, but also wants to do it with style and technology.

In Asia in general and in India in particular the electric motorcycle has gained weight, in the latter case for legislation. That has forced many manufacturers to turn off with the scooters and electric motorcycles that are already further from the mere utility and begin to have aspirational flashes such as originality in the case of the new orbiter.

The orbiter combines a casual and modern image with functionality

The challenge, as always in this type of models, is to find the balance between autonomy, benefits, equipment and price, more in a market as competitive as the Indian. In that sense, TVS has opted for a set that emphasizes technology, practical design and an approach that seems to have learned from the mistakes and successes of its predecessors.

The TVS Orbiter has been developed with an approach that prioritizes simplicity, but without giving up a striking visual aspect. Straight lines, clean surfaces and well thought out details, such as functional windshield or wide handlebar, shape a scooter that seeks to differentiate itself without stridency. In its design, solutions designed for day to day, as an extensive and comfortable seat, a flat base to support the feet free and a LED lighting system that runs the entire set.

The casual design gives you a very personal touch.

If we put aside the aesthetic plane and look at the technician, we find a configuration focused on combining efficiency and good sensations in urban environments. The engine, located on the rear axle, receives energy from a 3.1 kWh battery with which it is possible to reach up to 158 kilometers of autonomy, according to official homologation under the IDC cycle.

It is not a record figure, but it is sufficient for daily use. The wheel set on 14 -inch alloy wheels in front and 12 behind, with low rolling resistance tires and a free height of 165 mm, designed to overcome curbs and potholes without difficulty.

The model has all the technology that can be expected.
The model has all the technology that can be expected.

In the practical section, there is space for two helmets in the 34 -liter trunk, a USB shot and a small easy access compartment. And if we talk about electronics, the list is long: cruise control, pending help, back mode, total connectivity with dedicated app, step -by -step navigation, notifications, geolocation and even drop or trailer detection. All this managed from a Bluetooth color instrumentation.

TVS has announced that The orbiter will be available with a starting price equivalent to about 99,999 rupees some 1,100 euros to change in six color options and two configurations. Although for now only its commercialization has been confirmed in India, the brand’s global strategy leaves the door open to future expansions and, who knows, a landing in the European continent.
