The human body is fragile and, unfortunately, despite safety advances accidents in competition continue to happen. And sometimes they entail irreparable consequences. One of the most delicate areas is the head and specifically the brain. In the United States they pay special attention to brain shocks, and now Motoamerica is at the forefront in this regard with the implementation of a rapid new test.
Knowing the status of a brain shock in the first moments can make the difference between receiving correct or not, especially in cases where there is a suspicion but not a clear evidence of shock.
And although in the most serious accidents the tests follow each other, there are times when after a brain shock there is no symptomatology so obvious. For that, in Motoamerica they have chosen to have a blood test developed by ABBOTT and called I-Stat TBI Plasma, which is able to evaluate the pilots with suspicion of brain shock.
The test that uses motoamerica to detect shocks is totally revolutionary
Without the need for tacs or more expensive evidence and that may not be available as fast as necessary, a simple blood analytical analytical the I-Stat TBI Plasma allows, in 15 minutes, mild cranioncephallic trauma can be confirmed or discarded, which is commonly known as brain shock.
This test can be done up to 24 hours after the injury, and the important thing is that it allows to act from the same place as the accident, without the need to send samples to laboratories, which speeds up the process. Discard the need for evidence in case there is no shock, and accelerates the process to receive treatment and more diagnoses in case the test is positive.

In this way, Motoamerica becomes the first professional sports organization to use the I-Stat TBI Plasma test, even ahead of the maximum exponent of motorcycling such as the MotoGP World Cup, where they have come to see clear indications of brain commotions after impacts and that have not had more routes in terms of tests.
