The story of Ducati and Ayrton Senna are intertwined by a common denominator: Love and passion for the world of motorsport. That is why the Italian firm, in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the loss of the Brazilian star, launches the Ducati Monster Sennaa special and limited edition of its iconic Ducati Monster.
A special version of the most emblematic naked, of which Ayrton senna He was one of its first owners. A limited series of 341 units. Three (3), like the World Championships that Senna won in Formula 1. Forty-one (41), like the Grand Prix victories that Ayrton celebrated with his arms raised at the top of the podium.
Ducati Monster Senna: The culmination of more than 30 years of relationship
It all started in the early 90s, after his meeting with Castiglioni (the then president of Ducati), a fervent admirer of Senna and his innate talent. In March 1994, Ayrton entered Ducati, in Borgo Panigale, to sign the contract that would give rise to the first motorcycle manufactured under his name: the Ducati 916 Senna.
As we all know, unfortunately, Ayrton died on May 1 of that same year, due to the impact suffered at the Tamburello corner during the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Now, just 30 years after that fateful day, the story of Ducati and Senna meet again with this limited edition.
Ducati Monster Senna in detail
The main feature of this limited edition Monster Senna resides in its livery, a tribute to the design that the Brazilian pilot wore on his helmet. In it, the yellow, green and blue colors extend to the front calipers, the seat and the wheel labels.
The serial number of each model, from 1 to 341, is engraved on an identification plate anchored to the motorcycle's seat post. Additionally, each of the new owners will receive a certificate of authenticity and an exclusive cover for the motorcycle.
Technically, The Ducati Monster Senna weighs 4 kg less than a standard unit of the model and has premium components, such as the Öhlins adjustable steering damper, forged aluminum wheels, carbon fiber fenders, engine guard and aluminum footpegs.
The engine is the well-known Testastretta 11° engine from 937cc, a liquid-cooled 4-valve twin with desmodromic distribution and 111 HP of power. The electronic equipment of the Ducati Monster Senna includes as standard includes ABS Cornering, Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Controlall of which can be adjusted to different levels of intervention.

The final price of the new Ducati Monster Senna has not been officially declared by the brand. The British media Visor Down anticipates that the fee to pay for this limited series of the iconic Italian model is 23,500 pounds, about 27,400 euros at the exchange rate.
