For years, the Czech Republic Grand Prix was one of the classic appointments of the month of August. But since 2020 it has not run there, and now its new stage begins in the calendar, with a contract that will reach until 2029. The fact is that Brno is a historical clue, but also the city itself, because before the construction of the permanent layout, many races had already been disputed since it appeared in the calendar in 1965.
But returning to the present, what everyone wonders is whether in the Czech Republic, a track that is the opposite of Sachsenring, Marc Márquez will be able to offer such an insultingly dominating version. The Spanish is more than prominent leader of the championship and, whatever happens, will continue to lead the classification not only once the GP of the Czech Republic ends, but is assured that it would also be leader of the Austrian GP, even if it did not add any point or in Brno or after the holidays.
Even so, beyond the Cabalas, the truth is that Marc is showing this year to be a perfectly greased machine already so human that he is not able to repress his instincts. If you can win, you will win, there is no doubt, although the question is, can anyone beat it?
The truth is that right now and as things are, with an Álex Márquez recovering hand in hand and a Bagnaia that does not finish finding the way, it seems that Marco Bezzecchi and his April, along with Fabio Di Giannantonio and his Ducati, are the ones that could be fulfilled the most, although they both went to the ground on Sunday in Germany.
The unknown on the performance of Bagnaia and Álex Márquez, each for a very different reason, can be extended to the rest of the grill. And it is that Pedro Acosta seems to find the way, but he still lacks the last step, and Zarco and Quartarara depend on what his motorcycles are able to make track by track.
To this we must add that two important actors such as Maverick Viñales and Franco Morbidelli will not be in the GP of the Czech Republic after the falls of last weekend. In the case of Viñales it will be replaced by Pol Espargaró, while Morbidelli will not have a substitute. Nor will Somkiat Chantra be present, which the Czech appointment is also lost in this case with Takaki Nakagami climbing his motorcycle.
But who will be is Jorge Martín. It is difficult to know what to expect from the current world champion because, on the one hand, he returns to the competition after a long injured time if we take into account that Qatar practically served. That is, he really faces his first race of the season in physical conditions when the rest of the grid pilots carry thousands of accumulated kilometers.
Therefore, it is difficult to make a prognosis, although what is certain is that with the passage of the kilometers it will go faster and faster with an increasingly competitive RS-GP aprilia in the hands of your teammate.
