In 2026 we will attend a new change in the Superbike World Cup with the arrival of the World Sportbike as a category of access. In a championship in which the motorcycles that compete are a reflection of what we see on the street, the category of WorldSP300 that was born in 2017, has been seeing how many of the original motorcycles have had to change for environmental regulations.
Hence, the World Sportbike arises, in which any displacement is no longer mentioned and of which we still do not have information about the models that can participate. What is known is that it will be treated, according to the organizer, agile motorcycles and with middle displacement engines.
Therefore, logic leads us to think to a mix in terms of options according to what we see in the market currently, climbing in power to models that are now being commercially more attractive and in which the power already rounds or exceeds even the 60 hp.
World Sportbike will be a category that seeks to facilitate the progression of the pilots
Since its inception, the SSP300 category has been a category in which to mark the differences by the pilots was tremendously complicated due, on the one hand, to technical equality and, on the other, to the relative ease to be able to go to the limit with them. This left us exciting but also, as we have been able to verify on different occasions, quite dangerous.

In any case, as we said, for now it is not known what the motorcycles of the new World Sportbike will be, although more details about the technical and sports regulations will be known. Taking into account the dates of the year in which we are and the fact that the new regulation is facing within a few months, the logical thing would be that this waiting period is short.
