As everyone knows, Argentina is currently experiencing a period of intense political and economic activity, which necessarily affects events of such magnitude as the Grand Prix of Motorcycling in Termas de Río Hondo. This circumstance, in the case of the current season, prevented the celebration of the event.
And until now we have been in the dark about whether this would be a permanent event or, on the contrary, we would once again enjoy the top category of motorcycling racing on the circuit located in Santiago del Estero. But fortunately, the latest update on this matter by MotoGP Argentina suggests that this will be the case.

It is true that this statement is as direct as it is brief: «Confirmed! The Argentine MotoGP Grand Prix will be held again in 2025 at Termas de Río Hondo. More information to come soon!. Which does not lend itself to providing many clarifications (or any) that would strengthen this promise. For that, we assume that we will have to wait.
What is the Río Hondo Hot Springs circuit like?
The Argentine track extends over 4,805 metres, contains 13 curves and several points prone to overtaking due to its construction in more contemporary times, and has a track width (16 metres). Its maximum capacity is 50,000 spectators.
It is the most suitable racing venue in all of Argentina, as it is the only one that has Grade 2 homologation from the International Automobile Federation (FIA). This is a strictly necessary attribute, as motorcycles are racing more and more and the safety margin on the circuits should also tend to be greater year after year.
Who have been the protagonists in the last Argentine GPs?
As a regular in active racing, we can only name Marc Márquez, who is the rider who has accumulated the most greatness on the Argentine track. He has climbed to the top of the podium three times: 2014, 2016 and 2019.
If we look at the most recent results, Marco Bezzecchi took victory in the 2023 campaign riding a Ducati from the previous year, and also Aleìx Espargaró, who did the same in 2022.
The Catalan driver took his first championship victory there after so many years of struggle and work to achieve it. Hopefully, the return of this great circuit to the catalogue for next year’s season will give us moments as epic and exciting as that one.
