It is not very clear what really happened for Dobrev to end up in such a way after riding the Sur-Ron. What is evident is that something did not go as expected and she ended up with a neck brace, an immobilization card on her knee and lying in a hospital bed.
Dobrev herself stated: “I'm fine, but I have a long road to recovery ahead of me. I think it's safe to say that my first time on a dirt bike will also be my first and last time, Ha Ha Ha.”
As we learned from Ride Apart colleagues, hours later her partner, Olympic athlete Shaun White, also published an image with a similar orthopedic device on his legs, but unlike Dobrev, he was not wearing a neck brace.
