This is not the first time that the Austrian tuner Vagabund Moto GmbH has given a BMW Motorrad model a touch of personality. Last year, it did the same with the “BMW CE 04 Vagabund Moto Concept: The elegant and multifunctional urban e-scooter”. Featuring a particularly attractive colour scheme in white, dark green, beige and black, it makes use of various functional elements created in a fresh and modern design style and focused on a youthful target group.
Once again the Austrian specialist breaks the mold with this BMW CE 02 Custom eParkourer Paul Brauchart, founder and managing director of Vagabund Moto GmbH, explains: “We immediately fell in love when we saw the CE 02 for the first time at the BMW Motorrad Days in Berlin. The overall design of the CE 02 was simply a ‘perfect match’ for us, as we at Vagabund always try to break new ground and reinterpret existing products in our own way.”
Concludes: “In this project, we would define the overall design approach as a “retro future.” “We tried to combine the original, very futuristic design with some retro touches and thus convey a sense of familiarity to the viewer.”
BMW CE 02 Custom eParkourer by Vagabund moto: Futuristic design and retro style
The Made in Austria custom bike takes advantage of the futuristic design of the CE 02 by adding several functional “retro” elements, which were designed in a modern and fresh way and focused on a young target group. For example, the musical integration of the OB-4 Magic Radio from Teenage Engineering underlines the youthful and creative philosophy of the custom bikes.
The “electric exhaust” serves as a practical styling element and a visual highlight. It offers space for an umbrella. Design elements such as the running board with skateboard grip tape reflect the sporty and urban style of the eParkourer.
BMW Motorrad and Vagabund Moto also create another absolute eye-catcher with the 3.6 meter high packaging of the custom motorcycle, which is also part of the overall concept of the project.
