Luxury electric motorcycles. This is the segment that the British company Arc Vehicle attacked, which, by the way, has nothing to do with Keanu Reeves’ Arch Motorcycles. But this gamble by Mark Truman, its General Manager, did not work out as expected.
Last March, after many financial difficulties, they decided to close the business. After being re-founded in 2020, they had entered into the process of liquidation. Despite the fact that their high-performance motorcycles were novel and different, in the almost four years of Arc Vehicle’s life they had only delivered 11 units of their Vector model, which put them in a difficult situation.
As Truman acknowledged at the time: “When you sell high-cost, low-volume custom products, it doesn’t take a lot of people letting you down to put you in a tough position.” And all this despite the fact that her client list included Ryan Reynolds and various Middle Eastern royalty.
There have been movements in the Arc Vehicle networks in recent days.
Still, it seems that Arc Vehicle could come back from the other side or that, at least, there are options for this to happen as it did a few years ago before being refounded. There is no official news, but since its bankruptcy declaration there has been no movement on its social networks, and only since a week ago is there beginning to be new activity.
The first was a collaboration with the YouTuber DeamDMB. Shortly after, they themselves uploaded a post in which their Vector could be seen alongside Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry in the film “The Union”, as well as a message that left the future of the company in the air.
It is not yet known what the future holds for Arc Vehicle, which has closed its website in the United States but is still operating in the United Kingdom. What is certain is that something is moving, and we will be watching closely to see if the dream that died comes back to life again.
