Cyclone’s RX 401 lands in Europe under the name RX4

Cyclone strengthens its European model range with its new RX4a mid-low displacement adventure bike loaded with good arguments and which is also launched in our country at a really reasonable price. This is basically an evolution of the Cyclone RX 401 presented by the brand at the beginning of 2022 and officially launched in the Chinese market last year.

As we said, it was in March 2022 when we first gave you an account of the Cyclone RC401 and RX401, “premium Chinese motorcycles possibly destined for Europe”. Back then, the brand announced that both would be equipped with a parallel twin-cylinder engine from the brand. A mechanism that would also have the support of a well-functioning chassis and a level of equipment on par with larger displacement and commercial status bikes.

Cyclone RX4 2025: Now available in Europe

Let’s go back to 2024 and Cyclone’s commercial plans, among which the Chinese brand included the launch of this RX4 on our continent. A bike that not only stands out for its image of a large motorcycle. Also for using the aforementioned twin-cylinder engine that in its European version declares a final power of 36.2 hp at 8,500 rpm, together with a maximum torque of 34 Nm at 8,000 rpm.

This engine in parallel arrangement and 401 cc It is liquid-cooled, has an 8-valve cylinder head and Bosch electronic injection, as well as a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. With internal dimensions of 68 mm x 55.2 mm, it is Euro5 approved.

On the other hand, Cyclone offers us a wide range of equipment that comes in up to three different finishing options: Standard, Urban and Explorer. They all start from a common base, to which a rear top case or a complete set of aluminium cases is added depending on the version, which can increase the load capacity of this RX4. up to 96 liters.

Regardless of the variant you choose, the Cyclone RX4 features a complete set of equipment, from the chassis to all the technological and comfort elements. Based on a multi-tubular steel chassis, this RX4 uses a conventional double-arm swingarm as the main structural part at the rear. The assembly rests on an inverted front fork with 41 mm diameter bars, as well as a rear monoshock.

Both elements are adjustable, with up to 130 mm of travel at the front. The suspension system works with radial wheels, fitted with mixed tires in sizes 110/80R19 and 140/70R17, front and rear respectively. Braking is done by two 305 mm discs and 4-piston calipers at the front, while at the rear a 258 mm disc and a single-piston caliper are responsible for this task.

The braking system also has the help of a dual-channel ABS system. The new RX4 also claims a final weight of 215 kilograms To which we do not know if we will have to add the 18 liters that can be stored in its fuel tank (the brand does not clarify this). For its part, the seat is located just 810 mm from the ground, with a declared wheelbase of 1,410 mm.

In terms of equipment, the Cyclone RX4 offers us everything we need to make our trips a satisfactory driving experience: Backlit handlebars, disconnectable ABS, Full-LED lighting, TFT screen with mobile connection and tire pressure sensor, side engine guards and aluminum chassis or handlebars are part of the standard equipment.
