One more Monday the BMW F 450 GS 2026 It is news again. But this time in a different way than it had been so far, since for the occasion we had the latest images presented to the United Kingdom Patent Registry, where we can almost definitively elucidate the final forms of the new Bavarian model. Therefore, we could say, without fear of being wrong, that we are facing the future street version of the novel half -displacement trail of BMW Motorrad.
The BMW F 450 GS 2026 list for its international debut
If you are one of the few fans who still do not know the brief, but intense history around the future F 450 gs, we strongly urge you to take an eye on one of the articles that we have been publishing about this new model in recent months. Specifically, since last November 2024, a moment chosen by the German firm to officially present its first concept around this half -displacement trail.
From then on we have been knowing some of the essential details that will shape the final version of the model. As for example, that BMW Motorrad has decided that its new F 450 GS will be manufactured in India by TVS, at the same plant where it already does the same with another brand model, the G 310 GS. In fact, in May the first test mule was sighted among the stressful traffic of the Asian country.
Similarly, recently, it was confirmed that the new F 450 GS will have the automatic change option, after the statements of a brand executive on the occasion of the BMW Motorrad Days, held in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. We assume that this will resemble in conception and operation to the already known ASA system (automated change assistant) used by its older sister, the R 1300 GS.
Now, thanks to Motorcycle’s partners we have known some images filtered from the United Kingdom Patent Office and related to the final version of the F 450 GS 2026. In them we can see first hand the changes made by the German firm to convert its first initial concept into a fully homologable version. This is thanks to the addition of indispensable elements to circulate by any way such as rearview mirrors or an intermittent system.
It also has a seat at two heights ready to house a passenger, something that is confirmed to verify that this last design variant includes rear strokes. Just below these we find the new exhaust system, previously located by the upper lateral part. New alloy wheels of 5 radios in the form of “y”, shoes are with road tires, replace the radial type that equipped the initial concept.
Other details that are in sight and that are clearly different compared to the original version of the model, are for example the frontal screen, now transparent and adjustable, or the absence of the paramanos kit that did show the concept presented last year. The lateral molding that is just below the handlebars has also been redesigned, as well as the one that rides as a cover. Likewise, both the chassis and the entire mechanics show a uniform black color, unlike the white frame and the details of the silver engine of the concept.
Beyond these changes in finishing and equipment, as well as others that could occur there, we can affirm that the BMW F 450 GS 2026 continues to maintain the general structure with which it shapes its first version, including a bicylindrical engine with a new invoice and 48 hp next to a light chassis, with a weight of 175 kg in line with class A2, maximizing maneuverability and control.
It is very likely that the German brand officially presents the final model in the next eicma edition, starting its marketing for the following year. All this would still be confirmed, so, for now, it is only necessary to wait for new updates on the subject.
