After three almost four seasons on the market, the Honda CRF300 Rally 2025 It is presented with some updates for 2025 that do nothing but further perfect the product and the philosophy it embodies. Among these improvements we find a redesigned side cover that mitigates the hot air expelled by the fan, the homologation of its engine to the current EURO5+ or an adjustment in the developments of its gearbox.
1st through 5th gears are now shorter, for improved response and acceleration, while 6th gear is longer for more relaxed high-speed cruising. An assist/anti-bounce clutch manages rear wheel traction in hard downshifts and reduces the force required on the lever.
For its part, the long-travel front and rear suspensions feature revised, firmer damping settings for the 2025 model. They ensure excellent bump absorption and ample ground clearance. Likewise, the set of turn signals are also LED in the new model, while we can optionally install a USB socket.
Rivals of the Honda CRF300 Rally 2025
The market niche where the CRF300 Rally is included has some really interesting options:
Honda CRF300 Rally 2025 engine
The liquid-cooled DOHC single-cylinder engine arrives this coming season adapted to the current Euro5+ homologation. Develops a maximum power of 27.3 HP at 8,500 rpm, with a maximum torque of 26.6 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Bore and stroke are set at 76mm x 63mm, with a compression ratio of 10.7:1. This uses an off-center cylinder, reducing internal friction losses, while the piston itself incorporates a special surface material, as well as a molybdenum treatment.
The oil pump has an internal relief structure that prevents aeration of the drained oil. The crankshaft bearing uses a press-fit, halved metal bearing, while the crankpin uses a cast iron bushing. A primary balance shaft reduces vibrations.
The cooling system uses a 12.7 kW heat dissipation radiator, located on the left side of the bike. A redesigned side cover controls the hot air expelled by the fan. To complement the strong thrust of the engine and for good recovery and acceleration, the gear ratios from 1st to 5th are short, while 6th is long for more relaxed highway cruising.
An assisted/anti-bounce clutch reduces the load on the lever and controls rear wheel bounce in quick reductions (ideal for control on asphalt or off-road). The brand announces a maximum speed of 132 km/h and an average consumption around 3.1L/100kmhaving a fuel tank with the capacity to hold up to 12.8 liters of gasoline.
Cycle part of the Honda CRF300 Rally 2025
The chassis of the 2025 CRF300 Rally is controlled by a double cradle steel chassis along with a standard aluminum swingarm. The suspension team uses a 43 mm Showa inverted fork with 260 mm of travel at the front, with optimized spring rates and damping settings for precise control over a wide range of terrain and speeds.
Behind we find a Pro-Link system also with 260 mm of travel. The Showa shock is a simple tube design. The damping settings at both ends have been adjusted for 2025, creating a more stable and comfortable bike for its riders.
For braking, Honda is committed to maintaining the equipment used until now. This translates into a 296mm front disc bitten by a two-piston caliper, and another 220mm rear disc actuated by a single-piston caliper; As on CRF racing machines, the rear brake master cylinder is now a lightweight, integrated design. The brake discs are petaled and are electronically supported by a 2-channel ABS system.
The assembly rests on 21- and 18-inch radial wheels, front and rear respectively, shod with enduro-type tires in sizes 80/100-21 51P and 120/80-18 62P. On the other hand, the curb weight of the CRF300 Rally is 153kg. Launch angle and trail are set at 27.5° and 109mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 1,455mm and ground clearance of 275mm.
Equipment and finishes of the Honda CRF300 Rally 2025
The 2025 CRF300 Rally is designed to cover long distances and its styling reflects it. Derived from parts used by the CRF450 Rally, the “floating” screen, upper and lower fairings and side covers effectively protect the rider, offering excellent defense against the elements. The grip covers also offer protection, both for the hands and for the brake and clutch levers. A sump cover plate protects the underside of the machine and the gear lever incorporates a folding tip.
The seat is mounted on rubber for greater comfort and the footrests now also have rubber inserts. The seat height is 885mm. Unlike the CRF300L, the Rally features internal handlebar weights to minimize vibration. The side stand also has a large folding support plate. The LCD instrument cluster weighs just 70g and features large black digits on a crisp white background for instant readability, with large 23mm numerals for the speedometer.
The information includes gear position indicator, possible mileage until refueling and gasoline consumption, average speed, stopwatch and tachometer. The dual LED headlights are a compact asymmetrical unit and, for the 2025 model year, the indicators are now LED units with flexible mounting.
