LiveWire launches into the world of scooters with two surprising proposals

The latest news that comes to us from LiveWire is related to a future electric maxi-scooter with S2 engine. In fact, the brand has shown two concepts associated with this project during the celebration of the 110th edition of EICMA. As they argued during the Italian exhibition:

“The performance characteristics of our propulsion system, such as range and recharge rates, plus our ability to create smooth linear torque and power delivery, give us confidence that these are LiveWire’s competitive advantages in “This category, and we anticipate that riders will immediately discover new levels of excitement, comfort and convenience when riding an S2-powered electric maxi-scooter.”

As we already know, KYMCO will build its electric RevoNEX and SuperNEX on Harley-Davidson’s Arrow platform. The latest patents registered by the Taiwanese firm indicate that its new RevoNEX and SuperNEX could make use of the American firm’s Arrow platform. In parallel, it works together with LiveWire in the development of the Yankee firm’s first electric maxi-scooter.

As explained, the new electric maxi-scooter would use LiveWire’s S2 Arrow propulsion system. In the case of the S2 Mulholland, it has a range of up to 194 km in the city thanks to its 10.5 kWh capacity battery pack. Both brands declare that “They are combining their strengths and capabilities to reach new customers looking to experience the benefits of an electric maxi-scooter suitable for commuting in search of urban adventures and more.”

Karim DonnezCEO of LiveWire commented: “The belief and recognition that we could create a class-leading maxi-scooter using our S2 Arrow propulsion system has been a constant. “KYMCO sharing their expertise has turned belief into reality and we are excited to begin this journey with such a globally recognized leader in the category.”

For its part, Allen Kopresident of KYMCO, said: “LiveWire is an iconic leader in electric solutions for urban mobility. “We are excited to partner with them as LiveWire embarks on the development of an S2-based electric maxi-scooter.”

The goal is to develop a completely new premium electric maxi-scooter, which would offer the performance of LiveWire’s S2 motorcycles to the maxi-scooter category. The company has estimated that its launch could be scheduled for first half of 2026. In any case, we will be attentive to new future information about this new project focused on the EV segment.
