The sport of two wheels is once again in mourning after the fatal accident that cost Luca Salvadori his life. The Milanese rider was involved in a crash with Didier Grams (who suffered serious injuries), and although he was treated on the same track and later evacuated, unfortunately he was unable to overcome the situation.
Luca Salvadori, son of music producer and founder of the Trident F2 and F3 team Maurizio Salvadori, has been involved in racing all his life and is currently part of the Ducati family, with whom he even participated in World Ducati Week this year.
During all these years Salvadori had been competing in different championships, ranging from the CIV where he achieved one championship and three runner-up positions, to trying his luck in the WSBK within the Super Stock 1000 and Super Stock 600 categories.
He also took part in some MotoE World Championship races for Pramac, scoring 22 points, and combined track racing with hill climbs. He was currently leading the SBK National Trophy in Italy, where the title would be decided at the end of the month.
Luca Salvadori was a well-known youtuber
In addition to all this, Salvadori had been combining his activity in the competition with his role as a YouTuber, where he had been narrating his experiences as well as commenting on current affairs, which had earned him a certain fame. On the platform, the Italian had easily managed to surpass the barrier of half a million subscribers.
And it is no wonder, since his position as a pilot allowed him to create content as exceptional as the most recent of his experiences at WDW 2024, sharing the track with Marc Márquez, Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martín and all the official Ducati riders, including himself.
The displays of affection have not been long in coming and have come from all corners of the sporting world. Motorcycle figures such as Marc Márquez himself or Pecco Bagnaia, brands such as Ducati or Aprilia and even personalities such as the former F1 driver Jean Alesi have remembered Luca.
At Soymotero.net we join in these displays of affection and send our condolences to Luca’s loved ones.
