CCM, the British brand based in Bolton, has announced its presence at the imminent Motorcycle Live 2024. And it will do so by showing its “Project X”a new ADV model that seems to be practically ready to be launched on the market.
Great news for fans of the brand who have been waiting for an initiative of this type from the brand for several years. Specifically, since the 2017 season, when it stopped marketing its GP450 for reasons related to the anti-pollution regulations of the moment.
CCM “Project X” 2025: Back to the ADV segment
Recently, CCM presented its new Street Moto, available in two equipment versions within the model itself: standard and “R”. In both cases we find a 600 cc single-cylinder engine associated with a 6-speed gearbox. As a result we obtain a final power 55 HP and a maximum torque of 50 Nm at 5,000 rpm. This is probably the mechanic that ends up driving this “Project X”.
As we have learned from the colleagues at Visor Down, the “Project X” will come mounted on a set of 21 and 18 inch wheels, front and rear respectively. It is clear the Offroad approach that CCM intends to give to its new frame, which the brand itself describes as “a dual-sport Enduro motorcycle, in the style of the GP450which combines performance, versatility and a unique combination of fun and light handling.”
Other details that we also know about this “Project load capacity. Probably, the gearbox has modified ratios compared to other models of the brand with this same mechanism.
The reason is none other than to give it a longer development to be able to travel by road and highway in a comfortable way. All this accompanied by a TIG-welded chrome steel chassis, which according to the brand itself will provide “resistance, durability and lightness.” In any case, all these details will be revealed on November 16 at 11 AM at the stand with which CCM will be present at Motorcycle Live 2024.
