Surely if you think about SHAD the first thing that comes to mind is its wide range of trunks, suitcases and bags. It is no wonder, because the Spanish manufacturer has been offering top-level products for motorcycle and scooter users around the world for more than three decades and collaborating with the main motorcycle manufacturers on some of their original equipment.
But in addition to trunks, suitcases, bags, mobile phone holders and even seat backs, the Barcelona manufacturer goes one step further by presenting its range of disc locks for motorcycles, scooters and bicycles.
This is a series of three different models depending on the needs of each user, but what they have in common is that they are manufactured in a solid zinc alloy and are finished with paint that is resistant to both water and corrosion. This finish is also available in two colors: the always striking yellow and a more discreet carbon look.
Three SHAD anti-theft devices for different needs
The most basic is the SHAD SC21, which is also the cheapest in the range. It weighs 300 grams, its closure system is “pushdown” and the disc locking pin is six millimeters. It can be used for both bicycles and motorcycles and the price we find on their website is 25 euros.
A significant leap comes with the SHAD SC61A. Here we already find a catch of 550 grams. It still has the 6 millimeter pin and the “pushdown” lock, but it incorporates an integrated locking system with a CR2 lithium battery with an on-off position that has shock and motion sensors, and emits a 120 decibel sound. On the website its RRP is 59.00 euros.
The last member of the range of anti-theft devices from the Spanish manufacturer is the SHAD SC62A. Like the SC61A, it has motion and shock sensors that activate the 120 dB alarm that can be turned on and off. However, its weight is somewhat greater, reaching 600 grams and part of this increase in weight is due to the fact that the pin with which it is held on the disc is 10 millimeters. Its RRP on the web is 66.99 euros.
All of these SHAD anti-theft devices are available both on the Spanish manufacturer’s website and in its distribution network.
