The Skoda Fabia has always had certain sporting vocation. In the past there were versions with the last name RS that achieved features and interesting behavior. And just when that seemed to have been lost over time and that the top of the range would be the 1.5 TSI with 150 HP, now they have pulled an ace out of their sleeve. It is about the Skoda Fabia Rally2 limited editiona limited edition that adds a racing touch and a lot of competition character to the model. It increases its power while giving it a more sporty aesthetic.
This is a project that was born in Spain and has the pilot José Antonio “Cohete” Suárez as protagonist. To celebrate the two titles in the Spanish Rally Super Championship (S-CER) in 2021 and 2023, they have let him create what would be his ideal street vehicle, one that had similarities with the one he uses to compete. The result is the Fabia Rally2 limited edition of which Only 100 units will be made. Reservations are now being accepted, although they will not be delivered until the end of the first quarter of 2025.
They announce it for a price of 30,900 euros and, in exchange for that, the client will get a car with a special decoration. It can only be configured with Mamba Green paint, the one that was normally reserved for RS variants. The thing does not stop there, as a series of contrasting black details are added. That color is the rear spoiler, the diffuser or the tiresOZ Racing Superturismo WRC 17 inchwhich are shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires. The Rally2 logos, the Rocket logo and another with the S-CER victories cannot be missing.
There is also a badge of ABT Sportslinewho have been responsible for giving the Fabia an extra dose of power. Using the 1.5 TSI four-cylinder, some modifications have been made (mainly electronic) to reach the 190 HP and 290 Nm of torque. It becomes the most powerful in the range, gaining 40 HP and 40 Nm from the previous one, while maintaining the seven-speed DSG automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
While its homologation arrives, finish by saying that its interior receives some sports seats with black upholstery, three-spoke multifunction sports steering wheel with paddles and the Rally2 badge, and an identification plate with the limited edition number.
