SPIDI reaffirms its commitment to innovation and safety in motorcycling by equipping the 48 riders who have competed in the 2024 FIM Intercontinental Games with suits and gloves designed with cutting-edge technology and high-performance XPD boots. This project represents a new challenge for the Italian brand, which extends its experience in top-level competitions such as MotoGP and WSBK to an event that celebrates the global spirit of motorcycling.
This collaboration has consisted of the development of customized equipment for the entire grid, which incorporates the electronic airbag system that SPIDI has perfected in more than a decade in world elite competition. The Italian brand has been in the two-wheeled sector since 1977, when it launched the first anatomical motorcycle gloves, marking a before and after in the protection of riders.

SPIDI’s real challenge at the 2024 FIM Intercontinental Games has been to design and handcraft 48 custom suits, each one adapted to the specific needs of the drivers and all delivered on the same date. Equipped with the latest generation electronic airbag system, perfected in the MotoGP and WSBK championships, these suits offer an unprecedented level of protection.
Made in Italy by specialized artisans, they integrate advanced materials such as highly resistant kangaroo leather and strategically placed elastic panels to guarantee freedom of movement. This process not only ensures a custom fit that maximizes comfort and on-piste performance, but also reflects SPIDI’s dedication to fusing tradition and technology into unique products.
Added to that, to reaffirm the brand’s commitment to safety and comfort in each race, the pilots from each continent wore Carbo Track Evo gloves and Warrior protections on the back and chest. In addition to the overalls and gloves, the pilots enjoyed a higher level of safety with the XP9-R boots from XPD, a subsidiary brand of SPIDI specialized in motorcycling footwear.
