The 3rd edition of the MotoTurismo Awards already has winners

The MotoTurismo Awards 2024 once again become the national epicenter of the passion for traveling on two wheels. A third edition that took place in the town of Canfranc (Huesca), at the spectacular Estación Internacional hotel, located in the heart of the Aragonese Pyrenees.

As we already told you previously, the election of Canfranc as host of the 2024 MotoTurismo Awards gala is a consequence of the victory of the province of Huesca as the best National Route in 2023 with its initiative “Huesca la Magia en Ruta”, the TuHuesca promotion society (Tourism of the province of Huesca).

MotoTurismo Awards 2024 in detail

On Saturday morning the route began passing through some of the lesser-known roads of the Huesca Pyrenees, full of curves and spectacular landscapes to the cafe, in Puente la Reina in Jaca. From here, the route, which did not lack curves, had a more cultural component with a stop at the monastery of San Juan de la Peña, to learn some of the secrets of the Holy Grail.

The aperitif on a motorcycle camping Anzanigo with its monument to SanGlas, informal patron saint of motorcyclists and the return to Canfranc for lunch and prepare for the Gala. At 7:00 p.m., the trophy ceremony began for the winners with the most votes by the multidisciplinary jury that evaluated the finalist candidates. Presented by Valentín Requena, the different public and private institutions collaborating with the event were present.

The awards were announced with the opening of the corresponding envelopes and delivered at the ceremony. The winners were the most voted by a multidisciplinary jury made up of 150 peoplewith the exception of motorcycles that were voted by a jury of testers/communicators/specialized journalists.

Competition was called 67 motorcycles from 25 different brands, all currently marketed in Spain. Twelve in the access touring category up to 650 cc, Twenty-eight in the medium touring motorcycle category, up to 999 cc and twenty-seven in the Maxi touring motorcycle category, more than 1000 cc. They issued their assessment 50 journalists from 30 different media. The winners were:

The sole honor award awarded at the discretion of the organization went to Jaime Alguersuari, promoter and creator of motorcycling magazines and events of maximum impact who moved the attendees with his words of gratitude and memories of a passionate life dedicated to motorcycles and His world. We are already working on the next edition of the Mototourism Awards to first determine the venue of the gala. The Camino del Cid with its eight provinces as the winner of the National Route is the first option.
