Benelli returns to the foreground today with the introduction, to international markets, of its next TRK 902 and TRK 902. Two frames highly anticipated by fans of the brand that will have all the necessary ingredients to gain a place in the tight category where they would be included.
Taking advantage of the direct heritage of QJMotor, the Italian brand would use the same engine as the new SRK 900, a sporty naked bike officially presented a few days ago at the Beijing Motorcycle Show. We are talking about a 904 cc parallel twin capable of offering in the new TRK 902 and TRK 902 some 105 HP maximum power.
Benelli TRK 902 and TRK 902 X: Same recipe as until now
Benelli's recipe with its new TRK 902 and TRK 902 remains unchanged with respect to the current TRK variants. That is, using the same platform, the brand resorts to the use of different tire sizes on the front axle (17″ in the standard version and 19″ in the X variant), in addition to the type of tire being different on each one. of them.
While the TRK 902 uses alloy wheels, the harder variant uses radial wheels. In any case, versatility is the characteristic that best defines them and that now, with the increase in power and performance, increases substantially compared to current models.
Mechanically, the engine uses 2 camshafts and 4 valves per cylinder, stating 105 HP of power, 90 Nm of maximum torque and 215 km/h of maximum speed. All this is carried to the rear wheel through a 6-speed gearbox. In addition, according to the colleagues at Motorrad Online, there will be a traction control system, Riding Modes or dual channel ABS.
In the cycle part, a tubular steel chassis and aluminum swingarm, suspensions signed by Marzocchi and Brembo braking are used. With 1,540 mm between axlesthe seat would be 825mm ground. The weight in running order would be around 230 kilograms in both versions, including the 24 liters of fuel from your tank.
The set is complemented by a good level of equipment, something characteristic of the model in any of its variants. Among the most notable elements we find side bars and crankcase protector, screen 7” TFT with connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation, heated grips and seat or a tire pressure monitoring system.
Optionally, the brand would put at our disposal a complete team of aluminum suitcases. All this for a final price that is estimated to be below 10,000 euros. Although the official launch date is not yet known, it is expected that Benelli will begin marketing its new TRK 902 and TRK 902 coming soon.
