B.S.A. surprised the public by presenting a Scrambler variant of the Gold Star 650. This motorcycle, called B65 Scramblerarrives to expand its product line with a proposal aimed at off-roading and that will enter the fray with the recently released Royal Enfield Bear 650.
Furthermore, if the name Gold Star 650 Scrambler It looks familiar to you, it’s no coincidence. B.S.A. It had already shown a concept version of this motorcycle at Motorcycle Live 2022, also in Birmingham. That version, however, was a prototype without the features necessary for series production.
Now, in 2024, the new B65 Scrambler seems ready to make the leap as a fully homologated and functional model. However, unfortunately B.S.A. has not yet officially confirmed its market launch.
Obviously, it is not difficult to notice the similarities between the Gold Star B65 Scrambler and the recently released Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650a motorcycle that we talked to you about at length not too long ago. Both share a rich classic heritage, captivating retro design and competitive technical specifications. This showdown promises to capture the attention of modern classic motorcycle enthusiasts.
The B65 Scrambler adopts a distinctive aesthetic with a two-tone color scheme for the fuel tank. The engine remains a liquid-cooled 652 cc DOHC block from its sister, the aesthetic cylinder fins have a two-tone finish that reinforces its nostalgic air and, in addition, incorporates a new raised exhaust system that emphasizes its off-road character .

In the suspension section, the Scrambler includes telescopic front forks with bellows, an increase in travel to improve its off-road capability and ground clearance has also been increased. The engine is the same as the standard Gold Star 650. A 652 cc DOHC engine, which generates 45 hp and 55 Nm of maximum torque, coupled to a 5-speed transmission with slipper clutch. However, BSA will likely make specific adjustments to adapt this engine to the Scrambler’s off-road focus.
