The board of directors of the managing company of the Ricardo Tormo Circuit held a meeting this morning to study and approve the reconstruction plan for the accesses and parking at the Cheste facilities.
The Ricardo Tormo Circuit will begin work this week
Since the tragic passage of Dana through the province of Valencia on October 29, the Circuit has been forced to cancel the last three events of the 2024 calendar and has focused its efforts on helping its neighbors through different solidarity actions. Also in putting into service an alternative access to restart its daily activity since last December 5.
The reconstruction plan indicates the work that will be carried out in the affected areas, to solve the access and parking problems that the Circuit has faced since the storm. Likewise, the board of directors, chaired by the general director of Sports, Luis Cervera, has decided to request the help of the Higher Sports Council to carry out these works.
The works on the main access begin this week with the reconstruction of the bridge over the Sechara ravine, later the fencing will be installed again and the pedestrian accesses will be reconstructed. The plan also indicates the work to be carried out in car parks P1, P2, P3, P7, P9, P18 and P19, as well as the Road Safety school and the bus parking lot, so that they will be operational from the month of March.
Until then, each of the events on the Ricardo Tormo Circuit’s 2025 calendar will be held with limited capacity to ensure the safety of fans attending the races.
