AJSthe British firm based in Wolverhampton, has just launched its new Sedona 250 V-twin on the market. This is an interesting custom developed to meet the needs of current A2 license holders.
With it, the brand follows the same formula used in other models that we already know, such as the Bilston 125, which we already told you about a few months ago.
AJS Sedona 250 in detail
Under the motto “designed for those who long for the open road” AJS presents its latest bet within the two-wheeled sector, the Sedona 250. A motorcycle that combines style, versatility and economy thanks to its simplicity of manufacture, although without neglecting the slightest care for detail.
Good proof of the latter is the engine chosen to propel it, a 249 cm³ 75º V-twin, 4-stroke, DOHC, 8 valves and cooled by air and oil. The Sedona 250 declares a maximum power of 26.6 HP at 9,000 rpm and 21 Nm of torque, for a curb weight of 172 kilograms. However, it is capable of flattening at rates close to the 130km/has approved by the brand in its technical sheet.
The set is completed with a well-crafted cycle part, where we do not miss anything taking into account the philosophy of the model and the use that will generally be given to it. That is why AJS uses a tubular steel chassis along with a conventional double-arm swingarm. The suspension is entrusted to a front inverted fork and a pair of rear lateral shock absorbers.
For braking, the Sedona 250 anchors its 17- and 16-inch wheels, front and rear respectively, with one disc per axle. These are shod with tires measuring 120/80-17 and 150/80-16. On the other hand, the seat is located only 750 mm from the groundso its piloting becomes feasible for almost any user, regardless of their height.
Other relevant technical details are, for example, having a fuel tank with 18 liters capacity. This fact is essential to be able to declare a maximum autonomy close to the 470 kilometers. If we add to this well-designed ergonomics and good touring capabilities, the result is a really interesting motorcycle for those who love custom bikes and are looking for a model to use on their daily trips.
The set is completed with a level of finishes and equipment in line with what is expected from such a frame. In the Sedona 250, the darkened parts stand out, as well as a two-level seat, flat handlebars, ABS system or a color LCD instrument panel that offers us a good level of information.
AJS offers its new Sedona 250 in two color schemes, red or black, for a price that starts at the change from the 5,543 euros.
