Although it is just arriving in the Spanish market with Keeway, Benda is causing a sensation with some striking and special models. In our market we already have three models: Chinchilla 500, Napoleon Bob 500 and LFC700. But the new bet, which is not yet in Spain, is a motorcycle that can revolutionize the market. We are talking about the Benda Dark Flag 500.
Why is it different if it is another 500 cruiser and they already have two on our market? Well, because unlike the Chinchilla and the Napoleon Bob, we are looking at a bike that is equipped with a V4 engine. And that makes it different for several reasons, including that it is the first V4 they produce, and it would be the only proposal of this style with a V4 engine for the A2.
The performance offered on paper by the Benda Dark Flag 500 is not bad at all, since with 496 cubic centimetres it is capable of reaching a maximum power of 54.5 HP at 10,000 rpm and a torque of 42 Nm at 7,500 rpm. If we add to these performances that it has a 6-speed gearbox, the official figures speak of a top speed of 145 kilometres per hour. A reasonable figure for a cruiser that, theoretically, could be limited for the A2.
Other information about the Dark Flag 500 Band
In addition to the engine, which is striking but at the same time breaks the mold of what we are used to in motorcycles of this style, in which the torque of the V2 gives it its peculiar touch, it follows the line of other models of the brand.
Its front suspension is an inverted fork, while the rear is provided by two shock absorbers. As a curiosity, this rear suspension is pneumatic, although at the moment we do not have much more information. We do not know, therefore, if it works in a similar way to the pneumatic rear suspension that, for example, Harley equips in some models, or if we are talking about something new installed on a production bike.
It has a single 320 mm front brake disc and a radial-mount caliper by Brembo, while at the rear the disc is 260 mm. As expected, both have an ABS system. It also has traction control to increase safety.
Focusing on the wheels, we find more conventional measurements with 130/90-16 tires at the front and 150/80-16 at the rear. It has a fuel tank of 16 liters and its empty weight is 260 kg.
To finish off the details of this Benda Dark Flag 500, it is striking that the seat height can be set between 670 and 700 millimetres depending on the need and also that the instrument panel is a combination of analogue and digital to complete its aesthetics.
We can say that the Benda Dark Flag 500 is a revolutionary motorcycle, although for now we do not know if the model will be launched in Spain or not, where, as we mentioned before, they already have two motorcycles that, although they are different in configuration to this one, would have the same target audience.
