Yamaha Enginein accordance with its 2050 Environmental Plan, has recently announced that it has invested in the French electric vehicle company Electric Motion, a company that develops and manufactures electric motorcycles for trials and off-road driving. The objective of this investment is to increase the presence of both companies in the electric motorcycle market.
Likewise, it seeks to delve deeper into the possibilities that electric motorcycles offer for competition. As strategic partners, the two companies will combine their respective experiences and capabilities to explore avenues for collaboration in technology development.
Electric Motion has 15 years of experience in the electric Offroad segment
Electric Motion, created in 2009, based in Saint Brès, in the south of France, is a manufacturer of off-road electric motorcycles, for leisure and competition. Engineering, design and production are carried out in a completely new factory. Since its founding, Electric Motion has sold its products under the “EM” brand in approximately 40 countries around the world, including Japan, and is steadily increasing its presence in the competitive trials and off-road motorcycle market. .
Electric Motion products have achieved great results in the Trial World Championship, FIM E-Xplorer World Cup (the world’s premier electric off-road motorcycle racing series) and other events. A pioneer in the field of trials, the EM brand has already achieved numerous victories, including the French and world titles, and has just won the last round of the FIM trial 2 world championship, ahead of all the bikes competing in thermal and electrical categories.
