Just a few hours ago, BMW presented its new F 900 R and F 900 XR 2025, including technical and aesthetic improvements and significantly more standard equipment in both models. In the words of Anton Huberproject manager:
“With significantly more standard equipment, fully adjustable inverted forks, lighter wheels and a weight saving of 3 kilograms, we have made the BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR even more attractive. “The new BMW F 900 R also benefits from a sportier driving position and the BMW F 900 XR from optimized aerodynamics.”
New BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR 2025: Common characteristics
In the new BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR, the proven two-cylinder in-line engine with 895 cc and 77 kW (105 hp) of power comes adapted to the current Euro 5+ approval. With the new “Dynamic” driving mode as standard, the two new F models offer even more driving pleasure and dynamism at a sporty pace. Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) is included as standard to ensure the greatest possible safety during acceleration. Engine torque control is also standard.
Prevents the rear wheels from skidding or skidding due to an abrupt release of the throttle or downshifting, for an even greater level of safety. The sound of the two-cylinder engine, which already has a powerful character due to the 270/450 degree ignition interval, is made even more throaty thanks to the new sports silencer available as an original accessory from BMW Motorrad (in cooperation with Akrapovič), which It also offers a weight saving of approximately 1.2 kg.

The new BMW F 900 R and F 900 XR also feature new 17-inch cast aluminum wheels. They weigh approximately 1.8 kg less than previous models, which represents a total weight reduction of 3 kg. Also standard on the new F models is BMW Motorrad’s ABS Pro system. Unlike BMW Motorrad’s ABS system, ABS Pro goes one step further and offers even more safety when braking in corners, as it allows ABS-assisted braking at lean angles.
Another new standard safety feature is Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), which provides even greater braking safety in difficult situations by preventing unintentional acceleration. The two new F Series models are equipped with a new 0.8 kg lighter battery. They also have a new rear end with integrated turn signals (brake and taillight functions are integrated into the turn signals).
BMW F 900 XR 2025 in detail
The new BMW F 900 XR comes standard with Headlight Pro, which includes daytime running lights and adaptive headlights for greater safety when driving at night. Other standard features of the BMW F 900 XR are the USB-C charging port on the right side of the passenger compartment with a maximum charging current of 2.4 A and heated grips.
The new BMW F 900 XR offers even more touring capability and long-distance comfort thanks to optimized aerodynamics in the front fairing. The redesigned wind deflector reduces wind pressure on the rider, resulting in significantly less helmet vibration and greater riding comfort. Hand protectors, which are standard on all equipment variants, also provide better protection against wind and inclement weather.
The new BMW F 900 XR will also be available in three variants and colors for the upcoming motorcycling season. The basic variant is available in Racing Red, the Triple Black version in Blackstorm metallic and the Sport version in Lightwhite with Racingblue metallic.

BMW F 900 R in detail
The handlebars, footrests and pedal levers of the ergonomic triangle formed by the handlebars, seat and footrests of the new BMW F 900 R have been redesigned. This has created a significantly sportier driving position that is closer to the front wheel. The higher sporting ambitions of the new BMW F 900 R are accentuated by the headlight side moldings painted in body color.
The new BMW F 900 R is available in three attractive colors. The basic variant is available in Snapper Rocks Blue metallic, the Triple Black version in Blackstorm metallic and the Sport version in Lightwhite with Racingblue metallic.
