Jeep's origins are closely linked to off-road driving and they have always tried to imbue a outstanding robustness in their cars. Although in recent times part of that character has been lost, they still carry it in their DNA and demonstrate it with specimens such as the Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept. It is a prototype that takes advantage of the base of the Wagoneer S, the luxury SUV in electric format that the brand will put on sale in some markets (not ours).
The same has been used STLA Large platform, which is what allows it to achieve total electrification, although its capabilities have been taken a step further. Like other models with the Trailhawk name, it aims for high performance in off-road conditions. There is no talk of benefits, but it could maintain the 600 HP of power that the model from which it starts has. It would also have the same 100 kWh battery that would allow it to have a range of more than 500 kilometers.
Off-road capabilities are ensured by the 4xe all-wheel drive with instant torque and the Selec-Terrain system. This means that you can choose Auto, Sand, Snow, Eco, Sport and the new Rock mode; in addition to having an electronic rear differential lock. There is no lack of 31.5-inch all-terrain tires or a raised suspension to be able to face any type of obstacle. It is linked to a much more aggressive design which involves having very extensive specific equipment.
There are new functional air intakes, tow hooks and a new design for the illuminated grill of seven legendary vertical slots of the brand. The Jeep Wagoneer S Trailhawk Concept dresses its body with a new specific color, 18 inch wheelsaluminum roof bars and the ability to remove the roof panels for open-air driving.
The interior is also more robust and has surprising materials such as synthetic leather in Mantis Green or the stone inserts reminiscent of meteorites. The octagonal design steering wheel has a more precise design and the instrumentation displays all kinds of information, in addition to being completely customizable. The heated and ventilated seats are halfway between sportiness and comfort; demonstrating the meaning of the electric prototype for the future.
